A day I never thought would come

My baby-my 10th baby-my Kimberly-is sleeping in a big girl bed. How could this have happened? I have had an occupied crib in the house for 21 years. The crib, that held my 10 babies, is now dismantled. It is a day I never thought would come, but it came anyway, when I wasn't looking.

My 3 year old is sleeping with me and the crib has been unoccupied for a while but I still can't dismantle it. Sigh. It does happen quickly, doesn't it?

Another milestone accomplished. Kind of makes you happy and sad all at the same time doesn't it? WTG Kimberly. Such a big girl!

We only have 3 kids in our family, but I remember being a bit sad to pack up all the 'baby' stuff. My youngest is now 5 and well on the way to reading on his own. But, he still likes to snuggle in bed with hubby and I at times.

On another note, I've given you an award on my blog:

after 21 years i'm not sure i would have been able to dismantle it...maybe you can use part of it (the side rail, for example) as a headboard or some kind of wall art.

just thinking here...

Shedding a tear with you. Why must time march on so quickly?

Aww, bless you, JoAnn. Isn't it bittersweet? Our tenth and youngest (and perhaps last) is showing all the signs of potty training soon. It will be the first time in 22 years that we've not had to buy diapers...
