"It's time to make the cider!"

Every autumn Aunt Catherine invites us to her house to make apple cider. She has the whole process down to a science. Luke was busy checking out the contraption, making sure all was set for a busy day.

Kimberly got the first spin when everything was ready to go.

It was a job to keep little fingers away once the press got spinning fast.
Squeeze those apples, smoosh those apples!

Here comes the cider, out the bottom of the press.
I couldn't resist the picture of the praying mantis the kids caught during the day. (Photo credit goes to Becky)
The results of all the hard work.
Everyone had a wonderful day. It was the perfect ending to a very fun apple unit.
