Have I mentioned that we live 7 minutes from a state park

and this is where we are spending our summer days.
I am getting it down to a science.
We eat lunch at 11 am---get dressed in swimwear and head to the beach.
We play in the sun and the sand for two hours---only drinks are allowed, no snacks, (that just makes it too troublesome, packing all this type of stuff).
Assign partners to the little kids!
Bury some of the more active kids-it makes it easier to watch them.
After 2 hours, dress the extra sandy kids in less sandy clothes. Other kids use this time to air dry themselves out for the 7 minute ride home.
Take a nature walk, stopping at the various playgrounds along the way.
Play....
look at the sights....
check out the monkeys....
enjoy a little serenity....
check out more monkeys....
and then head for home....we are home by 3 o'clock and ready for naptime.
This is Luke's "going home" face. But all good things have to come to an end--until another sunny day....

State parks are the best! We bought a park pass for the first time this year. We all love going!! It looks like you love going too!
