21 years ago today.....

this little boy was born....
He has now become a wonderful, grown man.
Where did the time go?
I don't know.
I do know that we love him very much and are proud of the man he has become.
Happy Birthday, Matt!

Visiting Matt--Hooray!!!

Between visits with Grandpa at the hospital, Pat and I finally had the chance to visit Matt at "his" house.
As a special treat, we took Kim and Grace with us. (It has been hard with Grandpa in the hospital, our schedule has been turned upside down-as I spend most of my time with him)
The kids were very happy to get this special time Matt. It also was very practical to take only two children at a time, since the house Matt lives in is beautifully decorated with many gorgeous antiques-it seemed much safer with only two....

Kim was excited because Matt has a tv and turned on Curious George for her.
He then magically started a fire without even using a match---the wood didn't even burn---it was amazing!
Gracie enjoying the warmth of the fire.
We then gathered around the marble island in the kitchen to enjoy a treat.
Matt gave us ice cream for a treat. What a great brother to have!!! We all love you, and thank you for a fun evening!!

Party Time....

We made it through graduation night and on to the party!! Hooray!!
We combined Matt's party with two of his classmates, Brianna and Tim.

It takes alot of work to get a party ready to roll, we could use some help from "Super Kimmie"! We had alot of guests and alot of fun in a beautiful location.
Kim and Luke are smiling because there were storms all around us, all day, but we only recieved about 5 minutes of sprinkles.

Gracie, Clare and Nate are enjoying the scenery on "the point" surrounded by water.Matt and Alexis enjoy the last dance of the night.
Congratulations, Matt!
May God bless you on your trip into the future.

Matthew's on his way...

It is hard for me to believe that my baby boy is graduating from high school tonight. I am going to have to sound like my mother and say, "Where did the time go?"

One reason I know that this is true is by the amount of preparations that are taking place around me. Everyone has been helping in what can only be described as a frantic whirlwind.

We are hosting, along with two other families, 300 guests tomorrow at Oneida lake.

Laura made a super card box for her brother's cards.

I did feel Matthew should contribute something to his party, so with the encouragement of his girlfriend, Alexis, they put together the photo board.

If you have a chance, leave a comment wishing Matt a hearty congratulations!! (It has been a long road to get here!!)

Pictures from a beautiful Thursday

The package man showed up today-hooray, hooray!! He brought us a new Lauri brand manipulative- Fit a Space. Kim and Luke love it. We have been concentrating on colors and shapes, and this will be a great addition to things we all ready have around the house.
Mark had religon class, and so we drove around looking for photo opportunities. This is Amy's view from the co-pilot's seat.
A family of Canadian geese. (Our only photo worthy nature sighting.)
Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed nice comfy seats for Matt's ballgame.
Kim enjoyed fun dirt play during Matt's game.
Keep your eye on the ball, Matt.
Down and ready.
A view of the fans.
