Kimberly--in photos.....An Adventure!!

 September 19th...a 2 foot fall off the porch...very, very loud screaming...immobilization...ambulance ride...excitement...
No breaks...no brace...no pain medicine...not the best hospital experience.
 The mixed veggie  ice pack.
became wheelchair buddies with Grandpa
A visit to the orthopedic surgeon...complete immobilizer...no weight bearing, no bending...a lot of sitting.
Became wheelchair buddies with Grandpa.
Got out and about..
But we did enjoy this one last beautiful day of summer.
 She always was smiling....
Went on rides with the big kids.
Made cider at Uncle Jim's house
she became an expert on crutches!
 She helped decorate for autumn.
 She made crafts...many, many crafts...
She had an MRI....was told she had a completely torn meniscus and partially torn ACL... "Don't move your knee!!"  (just make crafts while a surgeon is found)
Make homemade playdough....Head to the city to see the sports medicine specialist...
She is still smiling!!
We find out...on October 20th, that the MRI was misread....but after being in am immobilizer for over 30 days she will have to learn to walk again.
She is still smiling...and she is starting to walk!!
Here she goes!!

Who could have imagined....

that a toothpick could cause so much trouble?
A toothpick in a little five year old foot can cause bloodcurdling screams, panic sticken parents, a trip to the emergency room, incisions, surgical instruments, stitches, and finally a Happy Meal to make everything all better again!! (and a whole bunch of Spiderman stickers)
Now to try and keep off that foot for a few days....that will be the hardest part of this current drama.
(You can see the toothpick under Luke's fingers in the photo above)

Today's Excitement!

This is Danny.

This is where Danny is sitting for the next several days.

This is Danny's foot.

This is the glass they took out of Danny's foot.

This is the hole in Danny's foot that still has a three inch piece of glass in it.

These are the windows that Danny stepped through.

This is the residue that Danny left on the grass under my window.

This is the air-conditioner that Danny was installing to keep his mother cool in the 90 degree heat when he stepped through the window.

Please say a pray for Danny over the next couple of days.
