Freedom at Last!

Well, the tree frogs have been given their freedom.
I don't think there are any still lurking around in the house.
We never new that there were any frogs this tiny. It was amazing to watch them complete their life cycle. "Just like we learned," is what Grace said.
It was a wonderful educational experience.

Laura's fingertip friend.

It was a little tricky catching 43 froglets and tadpoles,

but we finally accomplished our task.

Freedom at last, into Mount Hope reservior.

I also picked these up on Mount Hope. YUMMY,YUMMY!!

We Have Little ? (Frogs or Toads)?

June 25th

July 9th--teeny tiny legs

Today, July 13th, front legs.
Some have their front legs, and others don't yet.
The ones with front legs hop the tiniest, cutest hops.
We changed the aquarium to give them rocks to climb up onto now.

I think they might be little toads, I am not sure because they are still soooo small.

Science in the Aquarium

Thanks to our friend Ann, we are now the proud foster parents of about 40 tadpoles. I have moved them into an aquarium so we can watch them for the next 6-10 weeks. They are only about 1/2 of an inch now, and we don't know how big they will get.

Also, thanks to Ann, we have discovered great site about taking care of them. All About Frogs
We will keep you updated as we watch this wonderful metamorphosis.
