The L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge--"begin the story edition"...

The British were surrounding the fort. The men were busy at their posts, trying to keep the enemy at bay.....the children were called into service. Vital work was needed from this young patriots to keep the fort running.....could they step up....and help the cause......

L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge--Bokeh

This weeks L.E.N.S. photo challenge was"the bokeh effect". You can learn all about this photography term at Home is where you start from. (I actually had no idea what this term meant, but when I checked out the post decribing the bokeh effect, I realized it is a style of photography that I use often.)

It is the effect of having a subject up close, and in focus, while the background is blurred.

This photo was taken at the St. Lawrence River on Wellesley Island, an absolutely gorgeous New York State park.
