A Perfect Day to get Married

Load up the van, it's time to head to Lindsay and Dan's wedding.

Meet the Cousins

Actually, we didn't "meet the cousins" but we had fun enjoying the "up north" cousins' company at Grandma H's today. Although we are from "up north" compared to a lot of you, these folks are really from "up north", near the St. Lawrence River. The biggest excitement is getting our hands on Margie Sue. We haven't seen her since Father's day, and that day we were bundled up in the cold.

Kimberly doesn't seem to believe we gave her Margie to hold.
Mark was thrilled, and didn't really want to give her up.
Grandpa isn't one of the counsins, but this is a great picture of him so I included it here. And anyways, if it wasn't for him, there wouldn't be all these kids! (Oh, Grandma helped too)
The girls certainly ruled today.

The Mighty Hunter

Dale headed out into the woods this morning in back of Grandma and Grandpa's house for his very first deer hunting experience. Bow season began this morning at sunrise, and about 15 minutes past sunrise Dale got his first deer, a six-point buck.
Hopefully, Dale realizes this is not normal for a first time bow hunter, but maybe this is just the beginning for this "mighty hunter"!

A Tea Party fit for Princesses

This past Saturday, Aunt Mary host a delightful tea party for all 15 of her beautiful nieces.
"Moonie" has always held a very special place in the heart's of her nieces, with her silliness, game playing, and, of course, tea parties.
Aunt Moonie and her youngest niece, Kimberly.
Dancing the Cotton Eyed Joe- at a tea party?

Musical chairs--Kimberly, the youngest cousin is being held by Jenny, the oldest cousin.

Sorry for the poor quality of this photo, but I couldn't resist the picture of the 38 week pregnant cousin, Sara, playing musical chairs.
I love everyone's tiaras.
My oldest and youngest princesses.
A tea party isn't complete without playing charades.
Here is Laura's exceptional rendition of a fork.
Everyone guessed Amy as the Headless Horseman.

Aunt Mary gave all the girls a letter, a beautiful letter, that I wish to share here. Hopefully it is ok with her.

Moonie's Tea Party

This tea party is a celebration of who we are. We are woman and young women with the power to be anything, to do anything, and to transform the world into a better place. As women, we are the hearts of our families, our communities, and our world.

Too often society tries to mold us into something less than who we are, less than our dignity, less than what God created us to be. We have been created for greatness, for holiness, and to be a reflection of God's heart in this world. Already you each have touched many lives. You are a child of God, a daughter to your parents, a sister to your siblings, granddaughters, nieces, cousins, friends, classmates, co-workers, and you will forever be a "Princess" to Moonie. No matter your age, you each have proven to be unique, talented, gifted, and a beacon of joy to others.

Everytime to see a teacup, or remember our times of playful tea parties, or even remember this celebration, my hope is that you remember how special and important you are, to God and the people God has placed in your path. You are each women and young women treasured and loved dearly by many, destined to transform this world by the life you live and the choices you make.

Always aim for greatness, but remember it is not lived or attained alone! None of you are alone! You are loved enormously, by God, tons of family and friends, and by me. Don't miss the opportunity to be the best woman you can be.

Love Always, Moonie

Scenes from a Summer's Day-Family Reunion #1

We had a beautiful day, filled with beautiful family and beautiful fun. This is why I am posting many, many pictures of all the beautiful people that belong to my beautiful family!
Cousins-Sara, Becky,and Emily
Danny and Kimberly
Daddy and Kimberly
Luke spent a lot of time talking to this "Tin Man". We don't know what he was saying, but
he almost punched him.
Gracie is finally beginning to enjoy the water.
I think I can....
I think I can....

I CAN!!!!
Daddy and Uncle Gerry boil the corn.
Beautiful cousins, Laura, Maggie, and Amy
Our miss-firing Mentos and Diet Coke gyser.
Uncle Tim's new hot tub was a HUGE attraction for a large group of cousins.
Aunt Mary and Uncle Tim
The temperature was about 60 degrees when the kids finally got out of the water--they were cold, complete with purple lips, although Mark wouldn't unwrap enough so that I could get a picture of them.

A perfect day ended with a fire, complete with toasted marshmallows, (I mean burned marshmallows!)

I am not really sure what is happening here, but I couldn't resist Gracie's big mouth. I think she was screaming as her marshmallow burned.

The party is over, Mary, put away the camera!
