Kimmy's special hair-do

We had a chance to visit with Aunt Pam and Uncle Brian at Grandma and Grandpa's house this past week. Aunt Pam was sooooo happy to able to play with a little girl's hair, (her little girl is at college now, so she doesn't have a lot of "hair playing" opportunities).

Kimberly wasn't so sure about Aunt Pam or having her hair French braided.
It was a little stressful,

but it came out lovely,

even if we only could find a bread twist tie to secure it. It is just beautiful, isn't it?

Kimberly seemed to agree that it looks wonderful!

She had to keep looking,

and looking to make sure.

After a session of hair styling, Kimberly and Aunt Pammy became great friends,

and then commenced to fall asleep together.

It was time....

for my first haircut!

Locks of Love-Mommy Style

I haven't had my hair cut in at least 2 years, so today I took the plunge. It has been way to hot for all the hair that I was carrying around.

An added bonus was when the hair stylist told me that my hair was long enough to donate to Locks of Love.
The girls are growing their hair out to donate, I think they were surprised to find out that I beat them to the mailbox.

Just a couple more inches to go, girls!
