What we will do for Grandpa on his birthday
My dad has always been a Boston Red Sox fan. We are not! I believe he choose this team just to cause problems for New York Yankee fans, but I am not accusing him of anything. (at least today on his birthday I won't accuse him)I made these shirts for us to wear today. I figured that for this one special day, we could put aside our differences and all get along. But just this one day. After today, the friendliness is over once again.
Actually, after the first photo, some people were having real problems wearing these shirts.
We love you, Grandpa!!
And now there is a picture to prove how deep out love for you goes.

A Very Special Day
My favorite six year old had a wonderful birthday today. We surprised her with a toy wooden kitchen, complete with dishes and food. (I will post pictures of this tomorrow.)
Yesterday we celebrated with Grandma and Grandpa H. Gracie had the birthday dinner she requested, potatoes, gravy, butter, and salt and pepper. (Thankfully, Grandma added pot roast to the potatoes.)Everything was delicious, and after dinner we had a yummy cake that Becky and Grace made.
which seems to work very well!

Seeing Double--Birthday!!!!
Twenty years ago, on May 16th, at 10:30 p.m. I gave my husband his 22nd birthday present. Our first child, our son Patrick Joseph Jr. They have celebrated every birthday together since, and as the pictures show, many yummy birthday desserts.
I would like to wish both of my men a very happy birthday today. I only hope that I can show them all the love they deserve for all that they have done for me over the past years.
I LOVE YOU!!

Irish Twin Birthdays
I don't know if everyone is familiar with the term "Irish twin" so I will fill you in. Irish twins are children born within twelve months of each other. This past week we celebrated the first Irish twin birthdays of Luke and Kim. Kim on 5/3 and Luke on 5/6. They were both one year old for
3 days.

Becky made wonderful little cakes just for each of them and a train cake for the rest of us to enjoy.

They both enjoyed their cake and went on to open presents.

They both enjoyed their cake and went on to open presents.

It took a bath to get Kimberly ready for her presents.

Grace seems quite interested in Luke's train.

Kim doesn't get the idea of her piggy bank yet, but I think Luke wants to give it a try.(or he is afraid that she is going to eat it)

My prayers are that they will continue to grow and thrive and stay close to each other for the rest of their lives.
