It is amazing....in just three weeks, the kids from
The Drama Room gave a spectacular performance of "The Wizard of Oz".

Becky performed the role of Auntie Em, along with several other roles. In such a small group most characters perform more than one role, and in some cases, many roles.

A screen was used to provide a "special effect" looking scene, as the tornado carries Dorothy and her house away.

The Wicked Witch of the East is dead,

and as if by magic, a very colorful scene begins featuring the Munchkins. Amy is the top Munchkin.

Now, you will need to forgive the rest of this very photo heavy post, but you see, this is my blog, and these are my very gorgeous kids---performing their hearts out!

Becky and Howie at the top as Munchkins.

Laura and Amy

Here you can see the bright colors of the actors and the stage--very nice!

My three actresses are in yellow.

A very, very convincing Wicked Witch of the West.

Great job!

The screen was used again to show the main characters entering the Emerald City.

Danny was on spotlight!

Intermission with fresh air and a cookie.

Waiting for act 2. I wasn't sure how Kimberly and Luke to do at the show. I should not have worried. Even though it ended at 10:30, they were mesmerized. They didn't take their eyes off the stage!

Becky and Laura as Oz people

Amy as an Oz lady

More---my right!

Laura in back

Toto, Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion, Tin Man

Howie and Becky as Winkies.

"There's no place like home!"

Congratulations!!! What a show!!!
