I was very interested in the Kimochis when I first saw them featured on another blog.
These very cute, cuddley friends help children deal with their feelings, which are often very hard for our preschoolers to understand.
The Kimochis folks graciously sent us a Kimochi Bug, featuring the feelings happy, brave, and left-out. They also sent me an extra "feeling pack" to help the kids explore different feelings.
Kimberly, 3, has especially been enjoying our Kimochis. She lines up all the feelings and chooses how she would feel in different situations. It is also great to help a child discuss their feelings.
I highly recommend this product--it is a very helpful in teaching the hard concept of feelings to little ones. You can purchase one by heading over to their great site.
Now the exciting news!!
The Kimochis folks have offered to send a Kimochis of their choice to one of my lucky readers.
I am giving you a few chances to be entered into the giveaway:
1. Head over to the Kimochis site and tell me in a comment which character you would choose.
2. Become a fan on Facebook of Kimochis and leave a comment here and tell me you became a fan.
2. Become a fan on Facebook of Kimochis and leave a comment here and tell me you became a fan.
3. Become a public follower of this blog--Ten Kids and a Dog
4. Blog about this for one more chance!!
That's 4 chances to win--comment for each chance please.
Make sure to include a valid e-mail address so I can contact the lucky winner.
I will keep the comments open until Sunday Sept, 13---we will pick a winner on Sept 14.

ReplyDeleteI found your blog thru Tot School. I think the kimochi toys are great! We have asperger's syndrome tendencies in this house, so we need all the help understanding feelings that we can get :). I love the bug, but the huggtopus would go over really well here, too. Thanks for offering this fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI publicly follow your blog
ReplyDeleteThey are all so good. I am torn between the cloud one and the bug one...well, maybe the bug one. Thanks

Thanks for the info and the chance to win !

I would love the Huggtopus, though they are all so cute. My son would enjoy this, but I think my 7yr. old daughter would like it too. She loves the book "Today I Feel Silly", so I'm sure she'd enjoy this.

ReplyDeleteOh I love the Kimochi Bug Box. I am a preschool teacher and my room theme is bugs!! They would be such an asset, especially now at the beginning of the year, to help some of the kids with feelings.
ReplyDeleteHow cute!!! I like the bug...this would be good for my "temporarily" nonverbal daughter, who is trying to hard to learn to talk with a trach....thanks, Joann!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to do most of the options but I did visit the site and I love the Huggtopus as he looks most smily :o) This is such a great idea for children with emotional issues (like my two adopted babes!) and for once is an idea which is not wildly expensive.

ReplyDeleteAwww, they are super cute. My niece needs one of those, she doesnt deal with her emotions all too well, which makes her alot like the Kamochi [not sure if I spelled that wrong] cat, she gets very bossy, and being an only child she doesnt know much how to deal with that bossiness and the affects. Im hoping she will grow into learning about bossiness and I think the cat would help her alot! I dont have a blog, but I can follow you through my google! :]
ReplyDeleteOhh, and already a fan on facebook. How I found this! :]
ReplyDeleteI love the cloud!

ReplyDeleteI love your site. I choose the Cloud because of it's characteristics. I have a daughter with Autism which makes it hard for her to communicate. I really think this product would help her. Her and the cloud would get along fine since they are both moody and unpredictable!
ReplyDeleteI have become a fan and follower of your website. Even if I don't win, I will be a regular follower!
ReplyDeleteCheck out my blog. I talked about your blog and the Kimochis page.
