We Made It: Friday Showcase--Fingerprint Bumblebees

I haven't been keeping up with the Friday Showcase--but we are back at schoolwork and back to to the craft fun!!
I found this fun fingerprint bee picture
at Kaboose.
We just needed beige paint, yellow paint, a black sharpie pen, and white construction paper.
To make the beehive, I made a pyramid of circles for Kimberly to follow as a pattern with the beige paint.

You can see how the beehive is simply a increasing pyramid and continuing into a decreasing pyramid.

Kimmy is a very careful fingerprint painter.

We then used yellow paint to make fingerprint bees.

Gracie tried the pinkie technique.

Now we need patience to let the paint dry.

Luke is a very fast fingerprint painter. It was like this---print, print, print---"I am done!"

But look at that face, I had to give him a break!

After the paint is dry Grace shows how to use the Sharpie marker to turn the fingerprints into bees.

These are very busy bees, as you can see from all the little trails they are leaving behind them.

Very good work, Grace.

Bees are a perfect subject right now, as we seem to have an infestation of them around all of our basement windows.
