Fun on the 4th

Another Central New York summer holiday, another day in sweatshirts. I think we actually had a windchill of about 55 degrees.
The above picture is of Kim and Grace with two of their cousins, Maria and Annie.
We had a great afternoon at Uncle Tim and Aunt Sue's house. It is great because the backyard came with a giant playpen for the kids.
Luke learned how to play bocce.
Dad demonstrated his skill at horseshoes.
Amy looking very pretty.
Aunt Catherine and Kimberly. Catherine was using Kim's body heat to try to warm up!
This parachute was a great activity.
Look at that ball fly.
Kimmy in her red, white and blue.
The hot tub was a big attraction because it was, well, hot!
Gracie so wanted to take a dip in the pool.
She tried--she almost got her stomach in the water,
but you can't tell that her stomach is not in yet---she just couldn't do it.
She called big brother Pat to rescue her--and he did.
She then quickly returned to the hot tub--smart girl!
Uncle Tim has refinished the barn and has made it into a great party spot, complete with pool table.
Giving the camera a pose
Playing ball. This is one of the only pictures of Kim's new 4th of July dress without her jacket on.
Say "cheese"
America celebrates its birthday along with cousin Zach--Becky made a great firework cake, complete with sugar fireworks.
The birthday boy himself.
Daddy and his baby
Four of my kids, shooting the breeze. I just love catching the kids enjoying each others company. It does this mothers heart good!
This is how we all felt after a long day, but it was Uncle Jim and Tony that were lucky enough to get the hammock.
