Simply Made Sunday-- Super Easy Monkey bread

Monkey Bread
4 tubes refrigerator (I used Aldi brand) pull-apart bisquits
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 sticks butter
a bundt cake pan

Mix together 2/3 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon.
Put this into a large bowl.
We used a pizza cutter to cut each bisquit section into 4 pieces.
Put these into the bowl with the sugar and cinnamon
Toss to coat each bisquit piece with cinnamon and sugar.
This is a great job for a 9 year old.
Make sure to catch any dough that is flying through the air as you toss.....
Coat the pieces well.
Melt and cook for 2 minutes the butter, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1 cup sugar.
Place half of the dough balls in the bundt pan.
The melted and cooked sugar, cinnamon and butter.
Pour half of this mixture onto the half of dough in the bundt pan.
Put the rest of the dough on top of the first layer.
Pour the rest of the butter mixture over this top layer of dough.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
After 35 minutes remove this yumminess from the oven.
Have children admire.....yes, it was 38 degrees this morning, hence the winter hat...
I used a knife to loosen the sides and removed the monkey bread from the pan. I don't know an easy way to do this, if you do, let me know. I had some stick in the pan, but it was easy to put it onto the bread and you couldn't tell there had been a problem.
Let cool and then take little lady like bites after picking off one tiny piece of this great treat.

If you have many family members missing when you make this, you can't hide the delicious smell. When missing family ( all of whom are teenagers or older) arrive home, this is what will be left of your monkey bread.
Enjoy!!

Oh, Joann, we love monkey bread! It was a tradition for years to make it every Sunday after Mass. We discovered a yummy twist -- a little more labor intensive, but worth it: Wrap a little chunk of cream cheese inside each of the biscuit pieces, then proceed as usual with the rest of the recipe. Oh, my goodness... scrumptious, messy deliciousness! Thanks for the reminder. Maybe we'll make some tomorrow. &:o)

We are definitely making some of this. Yum! Maybe spraying a little butter flavored "Pam" into the bundt pam before adding the ingredients would help the bread to come out easier. Ok I am off to copy the directions. Thanks for sharing.
